My approach
I aim to help clients bring into awareness the different parts that make up their whole. We will explore your thoughts, emotions, your unconscious beliefs, your connection to your body, and your role in your community and family systems. We will seek out patterns and try to understand what is serving you, and what once served you and may no longer. Together we will create new perspectives on your beliefs and your narrative, in order to help you see yourself from different angles. With this awareness, I aim to help clients cultivate self-compassion and acceptance for all of their parts, while also working towards creating space for growth and change that allow them to live as their most authentic selves.
My approach is based on an integration of a number of schools of theory, primarily person-centered therapy, existential therapy, and Gestalt therapy. My focus is also largely on our relationship and the co-creation of a dynamic in which we can foster warmth, honesty, openness, and curious exploration.
Our sessions will consist mostly of talk therapy and may also integrate other somatic or abstract components, such as visualizations, breathing exercises, role play, movement or whatever else we may come up with together.
